1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Accession Finance Pty Ltd located at Suite 4/84 Ferguson St Williamstown, 3016, with an Australian Business Number (ABN): 88 478 696 904 (“Promoter”).
2. Competition Period
The competition commences on 14 August 2026 at 12:00pm (AEST) and closes on 25 September 2026 at 11:59pm (AEST) (“Competition Period”). Entries submitted after this time will not be accepted.
3. Eligibility
This competition is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees or former employees of Accession Finance and their immediate family members (defined as spouses, de facto spouses, parents, natural or adopted children, and siblings) are not eligible to enter. The competition is void where prohibited by law.
4. How to Enter
To enter the competition, participants must complete an online entry form. Each participant is allowed one entry. Any additional entries will be disqualified. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
By entering, each participant warrants that all information they provide is true, current, and accurate. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry (or entrant) that it reasonably believes is fraudulent, incomplete, illegible, submitted using automated means, or otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, without notice.
5. Prize
The prize is $1,000 in Visa or Mastercard Gift Cards, which is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for any other item or cash alternative. All prize values are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
If, for any reason, a prize (or any part of it) is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion and subject to any applicable law, to substitute the prize (or that part of it) with a prize of equal or greater value.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period, using a method that gives each eligible entry an equal chance of winning. The draw will take place on or before 12:00pm on 30 September 2026 (AEST).
The winner will be notified via email or phone within 5 business days of the draw. If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, a new winner will be selected. This redraw process may occur up to a maximum of three (3) times. If a winner still cannot be confirmed after the third redraw, the prize will be forfeited and retained by the Promoter.
All decisions of the Promoter, including as to eligibility, disqualification, and the conduct of the draw, are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Publicity and Use of Personal Information
By entering this competition, the winner consents to the use of their name, image, and/or likeness in any promotional material related to this competition, including on social media channels, websites, and other marketing materials, without further compensation.
Personal information collected from entrants (including name and contact details) will be used by the Promoter to administer this competition, in accordance with Accession Finance’s Privacy Policy, available at accessionfinance.com.au/privacy-policy.
Separately, entrants may be asked to indicate on the entry form whether they consent to Accession Finance contacting them about its mortgage broking and finance services. Where an entrant provides this consent, their information may be used by Accession Finance only (and will not be shared with or sold to any third party) for that purpose. This consent is optional, is not a condition of entering the competition, and may be withdrawn at any time by contacting Accession Finance or using the unsubscribe option in any communication. Any such marketing communications will be conducted in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth), as applicable.
8. Privacy
The Promoter is committed to protecting your privacy. All personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Please refer to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at accessionfinance.com.au/privacy-policy for more information on how personal information is collected, stored, used, and disclosed.
9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including indirect or consequential loss), whether direct or indirect and whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the competition or a prize, including any loss or damage arising from a winner’s redemption or use of a prize. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on an entrant by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or any technical error, that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile, or satellite network failure, theft, destruction, or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
Each entrant indemnifies the Promoter against any claim, loss, or liability arising from that entrant’s entry into the competition, including any breach of these terms or infringement of a third party’s rights.
10. Modification and Termination
The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to war, natural disaster, or any other factor outside the Promoter’s control, where it becomes impossible to continue the competition as originally intended. In such circumstances, entrants will have no claim of any kind against the Promoter arising from any such modification, suspension, or termination.
11. Permits and Legal Compliance
This promotion complies with Australian law and is conducted in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). As at the date of these terms, the total prize value does not exceed the permit thresholds currently applying in any Australian state or territory, and accordingly no trade promotion permit is required for this competition. Where a future competition conducted by the Promoter has a prize value that requires a permit in any state or territory, the Promoter will obtain that permit before the competition commences and will include the relevant permit number(s) in the applicable terms and conditions.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and each entrant agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
13. Acceptance
Entry into this competition is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions. All decisions made by the Promoter in connection with the competition, including as to an entrant’s eligibility or disqualification, are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. Severability
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be void, illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be severed from these terms and conditions, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
